Neurofeedback is brain exercise. It is a gradual learning process.
Neurofeedback is playing a greater role in the treatment of children and adults with ADHD who cannot tolerate medication treatment or who are unwilling to take stimulant medications.
Neurofeedback is safe and non invasive and offers an adjunct or an alternative to medication. Its limited course is defined by the number of sessions needed by each individual, usually 20 to 40 sessions. Unlike medication treatment, when the benefits are frequently lost after the medication is discontinued, neurofeedback offers gains in self regulation wich are usually sustained.
Neurofeedback is increasingly used by peak performers to improve their performance.
